My name is Daniela Ariza, and my journey as an artist has been shaped by a lifetime of love for animals and the desire to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
I grew up in Colombia surrounded by dogs, cats, and countless other animals. My home was never quiet—it was filled with barking, purring, and the endless energy of creatures that became my closest companions. While other children played with toys, I was sketching the animals around me, captivated by their expressions, their movements, and the unique personalities that made each one special. These animals weren't just pets; they were my teachers, my muses, and my greatest source of inspiration.
At thirteen years old, I picked up a brush for the first time and never looked back. Painting became my language a way to express what I felt but couldn't always say in words. I spent countless hours studying the way light fell across a dog's fur, the intensity in a cat's eyes, the gentle curves of their bodies. Every brushstroke was an act of love, a tribute to the animals that had shaped my childhood and my heart.
As I grew older, my passion for art deepened, but so did my awareness of the struggles faced by shelter animals. I realized that my gift for capturing their beauty could serve a greater purpose. I wanted my paintings to tell their stories, to help people see the soul in every dog and cat waiting for a home, and to use my art as a bridge between these deserving animals and the people who could give them the love they deserve.
